There are many genres of photography to enjoy but the world of butterflies and flowers greatly fascinate me. Instead of driving great distances to a landscape venue, the intense beauty in a mini-landscape can be found nearly anywhere. This was one of my favorite photos of a silvery blue butterfly that showcases the shiny irridescent wings as it frolicks among the flowers in Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument in Southern Oregon.
